Cortez Expeditions Scholarships

Since our inception 3 years ago. Donating our time and resources has become and important part of our strategy to be active in our community. We constantly endeavour to ensure we are improving and ensuring our practices are sustainable. We decided the best way to enrich our community was to give back doing what we do best. We do diver training very well. We are currently the number one listed PADI dive centre on Trip Advisor We complete more recreational, technical and professional certification than any other dive centre in La Paz. On the first of October we will be opening our Scholarship Program. The program is open to local undergraduate and post graduates in La Paz. That need scuba training to complete their Tourism or Scientific Studies. The application process will be from 1st October to 31 January 2021. With awards being given in First Quarter of 2021. There are Six Scholarships available for 2020. The scholarships are as follows:
We will choose two candidates for each Scholarship (Male and Female) Applicants must meet the prerequisites to enrol on the respective courses. The other prerequisites are:

Desde hace 3 años que llegamos a La Paz, donar parte de nuestro tiempo y de nuestros recursos se ha convertido en una parte importante de nuestra estrategia para mantenernos activos en la comunidad local. Día con día nos esforzamos para mejorar y mantener nuestras prácticas de manera sustentable. Hemos decidido que la mejor manera de contribuir a la comunidad era haciendo lo que sabemos hacer de mejor manera, entrenar y certificar a buzos de prácticamente todos los niveles, hasta la fecha somos el Centro de buceo PADI número uno en Trip Advisor en la región, completando el mayor número de certificaciones a nivel recreativo, técnico y profesional. El primero de octubre estaremos inaugurando nuestro Programa de Becas en Cortez expeditions, este programa estará abierto a todos los estudiantes que estén graduados y que necesites de una certificación de buceo para completar sus estudios tanto turísticos como científicos. El proceso de aplicación se abrirá a partir del 1ro de octubre de 2019, para premiar a los seleccionados en el primer cuatrimestre del 2020. Existen sies programas generales de beca para 2020. Las becas son las siguientes: 1. PADI Open Water Diver Course hasta PADI Rescue Course 2. Entrenamiento para buceo técnico. 3. PADI Divemaster (Primer nivel profesional de buceo) Se seleccionarán dos candidatos para cada beca (hombre y mujer) Cada uno de los participantes debe de cumplir con los requisitos preestablecidos para cada uno de los cursos, estos son:

Obviously COVID 19 has prevent our progress completing the Scholarships on time this year, but we hope to finish for the end of October.

1. Identification and prove of immigration status in Mexico
2. Prove of enrolment in either: CICIMAR, UABCS or CIBNOR
3. Curriculum
4. Explain why they should receive our grant and scholarship in no more than 2 pages.
